YINDJIBARNDI-NGARLUMA MODEL STANDS OUT AT FASHION EVENT

Yindjibarndi-Ngarluma woman Treinaya Philips modelled at the Global Indigenous Runway Project in Naarm/Melbourne last week.

Ms Philips lives in the Pilbara town of Karratha and has modelled with the project since 2017.

“I am very happy to come all the way from WA to represent the Ngarluma and Yindjibarndi people from Karratha,” she said.

“None of these models here knew where. Karratha was, so I had to let them know!”
