Jeeyuen Lwoy is a talented singer-songwriter whose music has always been a reflection of his personal experiences, struggles, and triumphs. In 2004, he recorded an album called Corey Boy Child, a deeply emotional project dedicated to his son, Corey, who tragically passed away in 1999. Although the album was completed years ago, Lwoy held off on releasing it. For him, the music was part of a healing process, something too personal to share with the world at the time. However, over the years, many people who had heard bootleg copies of the album reached out, asking for a proper release. That, along with the growing interest from fans, led him to share it more widely on streaming platforms like Spotify, YouTube, and iTunes, where it is now available for free.

The songs on Corey Boy Child were written during an incredibly tough period in Lwoy’s life. Each track reflects his grief and emotional journey following his son’s death. One of the most touching songs on the album, "Corey Boy Child," was actually the first song Lwoy wrote after Corey’s passing. The track quickly became one of the most beloved songs of the album, a raw and heartfelt expression of loss. Through these deeply personal songs, Lwoy not only processed his own pain but also created something that could bring comfort to others who had experienced similar losses.

In a recent interview, Lwoy explained how writing music helped him heal. He shared that music gave him a way to express his grief when words alone couldn’t capture his emotions. It also became a way for him to connect with others who were struggling. Many listeners reached out, telling him how the album helped them cope with their own grief. Lwoy’s vulnerability in his music continues to resonate with his audience, providing solace and a sense of shared experience.

Although Lwoy stepped away from music for a number of years, he’s now considering getting back into it. Recently, he collaborated with a close friend on a love song, showing that he’s ready to explore new creative territory. Despite the ups and downs in his life, music has always been a core part of who Lwoy is, and he’s now feeling drawn back to it.

For those currently on their own healing journeys, Lwoy’s message is simple: “Everyone’s path is different, but for me, music was my therapy. If you’re going through something, don’t hesitate to find your own way to express it.” Through his music, Jeeyuen Lwoy shows that even in the darkest times, there is always a way to find healing, connection, and light.
